It’s time to get planning…
Whether you’re staying for one-night, two-nights or a full week, make sure your residential is a brilliant one. We believe that all children and young people should be able to enjoy the life-changing and memorable experiences that residentials provide, and we want to help you to do this.
The best residential trips aren’t just about the activities. They will be led by teachers, co-designed with students needs at the heart and fully integrated into the curriculum. High quality residential experiences, like those we provide at Woodrow High House, enhance learning, improve relationships among peers and with teachers, increase attainment in core subjects (even improving SAT’s results) and provide an incredible opportunity for all students to shine in a non-classroom based environment.
Learning Away
Learning Away is a consortium of 18 organisations, who have joined together to campaign for more ‘Brilliant Residentials’ for more children. Like us, they know top quality residentials improve outcomes for children and young people, and want to ensure every child has access to these amazing experiences.
They have a huge number of free resources available to help you plan your own brilliant residential. Everything from evaluation tool-kits, to exploring lower cost models, winter residential starter kits and student leadership packs. So why not take a look at their website for ideas and inspiration?
