About London Youth

Supporting young people to become the best they can be.

We’re part of the charity London Youth, which has owned and operated Woodrow since 1945. London Youth is a charity on a mission to improve the lives of young people in London.Young people need opportunities outside school to have fun with their friends, to learn new skills, to make a positive change in their communities and to shape the city they live in.

The charity was founded in 1887 and since then has worked with our members to offer young people a wide range of high quality opportunities for learning and fun and to build strong trusted relationships with adults and their peers.

London Youth works with young people in lots of ways, through its network of community youth organisations. As well as providing outdoor learning opportunities and sports facilities at Woodrow High House, they help young people to improve their employability, and support them to take part in youth action, sports and arts activities.

Last year, London Youth worked with over 27,000 young people through its programmes, and across its two outdoor residential centres. We look to work with all young people, focusing particularly on those who wouldn’t otherwise have access to such opportunities.

Each year more than 7,000 children and young people visit Woodrow High House: we aim to give each one of them the experience of a lifetime. By booking with us you’re supporting a charity and allow us to give more young people this chance.

Because good youth work works.
