Frequently Asked Questions - Holiday Activities

Your child should come dressed in weather appropriate clothing (and suncream if needed), with indoor and outdoor shoes. They should bring a packed lunch (which must be nut-free) and a waterbottle. Please ensure that you clearly label all of your child’s belongings prior to them attending the camps. We cannot accept liability for any lost or damaged items, so please do not allow your child to bring or wear anything you wouldn’t want to get dirty, damaged or lost.

Sign-In/Out is in the ‘Frankie Vaughan Studio’ to the left of the main house. There will be a directional sign placed close to the main house door if you are unfamiliar with our site.

Please ensure all possessions are named to enable us to match items up with their owners. Lost property is kept for a short period of time before being disposed of, so please do not delay in calling 01494 433531 if your child has lost anything.

The camp is open from 8am – 6pm, drop-off is from 8 - 9am, and pick-up is 4 – 6pm.

Our camps run throughout the Buckinghamshire school summer holidays, Easter holidays, February half-term and October half-term. We are not open on bank holidays or weekends.

We are able to accept children from 5 to 11 years old.

We have two groups of 15 children (split into 5 – 7’s and 8 – 11’s), our instructor to child ratio is 2:15.

With the exception of popcorn or handmade bread during our Bushcraft sessions, we do not provide the children with any food. Please ensure that your child brings a nut-free packed lunch with them and plenty of water.

Children are grouped into two smaller groups of 15 for activities. The first group is the 5 - 7 year olds, and the second is the 8 – 11 years olds. If the children fall into the same age range, they will be in the same group. Please note that both age groups will spend time together over the course of the day. Certain activities are only available to the over 8’s, such as Jacob’s Ladder, Swimming and Archery for health and safety reasons.

It may be tempting to just turn up on the day without a booking, but if we are fully booked we urge you not to do this. We are not able to go above our instructor to child ratio for health and safety reasons and will not be able to accept your child on the day.

Our activity camps are Ofsted registered.

We are working on a way to allow customers to buy our souvenirs on the day. For now, the best way to buy is souvenirs is during the online booking process.
