We are changing how we operate our swimming timetable, and how customers will pay for their lessons from January 2025. Our current operation runs term-time only, with no lessons during the half-terms or school holidays, whereas our new operating model will instead run for 50-weeks of the year.
What is changing?
We are no longer pausing swimming lessons for half-terms and school holidays, with the exception of the Christmas break. Currently, parents book a block of lessons and have to top-up regularly to keep your child swimming. This will no longer be necessary, with lessons running weekly for 50 weeks. Payments will change to a fixed monthly direct debit, with the cost of lessons spread evenly, rather than a larger one-off payment every time you top-up.
Why the change?
We have listened to your feedback. Rather than a large payment up-front, parents will now be able to spread the cost of lessons, knowing the exact amount that will be leaving your bank account and when. A recurring payment will mean you do not need to remember to top-up, and this will help parents retain their existing space in our Swim School year-round.
There is also the added benefit of uninterrupted continuous lessons for your child, with the additional 10 weeks in our operating model.
Will this affect my child’s progress?
No. By offering weekly swimming lessons throughout the year, your child’s progression will continue uninterrupted. Your child will still be able to move up through the classes when they are ready.
The benefit of this is that there is week-on-week continuity which, in turn, will strengthen their ongoing skills and techniques, whilst not being disrupted by the holiday breaks. This is a feedback point raised by parents over the years, who have asked for this change.
