Public Swimming at Woodrow High House

Why not join us for one of our public swimming sessions at Woodrow High House, Amersham. We’re offering weekly public swimming sessions in our small, heated pool. So, whether you fancy swimming a few laps, spending some quality-time in the water with your children, or just taking a dip, at our newly refurbished Leisure Centre we’ve got you covered.

We may also occasionally add on additional ad-hoc public swimming sessions, particularly during the school holidays. So make sure you keep an eye on our Facebook page for more details.

Our Lane Swimming sessions are for over 16s only. If they would like to attend and are under 16, please attend our open pool sessions.

Please note: Public swimming sessions will not run on bank holidays and some special event days.

Adult (16 years +) – £6.50
Senior (65 years +) – £5.00
Child (5-15 years) – £3.50
Under 5’s – Free

All under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. All under 8’s must be accompanied by an adult in the pool. One adult may accompany two children under 8 in the pool, however children under the age of 5 must be accompanied on a one to one basis.

How to book?

No pre-booking is required, just turn up and swim!

Our pool has a maximum capacity of 30 people; therefore, we recommend arriving promptly for the start of the session to ensure entry. We will continue to monitor the popularity of our public swimming sessions and may change to an online booking portal to aid bookings, if necessary.

Our pool & facilities

Our newly refurbished pool is heated to a pleasant 33 degrees, so no more shivering in the shallow end. As well as a poolside makeover, we have also fully refurbished our changing rooms, including brand new shower and toilet facilities. At our small and friendly Leisure Centre, you’ll find two viewing areas, perfect if you’re coming along to watch a session. One inside, and the other outside, under shelter. However, please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult in the water.

The depth of the pool ranges from 1m in the shallow end, gradually getting deeper to 1.8m in the deep end, and you access the pool directly from the changing rooms.
