Mountain Biking Day Camps
Join us on:
- Friday 30th October
between 8:30am-5:30pm and are suitable for children aged 11-14 years old. We will provide all the equipment. You just need to bring a packed lunch (no nuts), refillable water bottle and wear sensible clothing and closed toe shoes.
The days will start with testing your cycling ability going through a series of drills. You will then break for an alternative activity such as high ropes or archery. After lunch you will take to our mountain bike track to start progressing through the course and trialing the elements.
Should our instructors feel that your child’s ability is not suitable for the day, we will find alternative activities for them to take part in should space be available. If no space is available you will be contacted to collect your child.

From scavenger hunts to high ropes and shelter-building
Wild Woodrow Adventure Camps let children challenge themselves with a heap of exciting new activities. We plan each day’s programme according to the weather and the needs and abilities of each group. Please note, swimming may be on the agenda so don’t forget to pack your swimming kit!

Wild Woodrow FAQs
Your child should come dressed in weather appropriate clothing (and suncream if needed), with indoor and outdoor shoes. They should bring a packed lunch (which must be nut-free) and a waterbottle. Please bring your swimming kit, in case swimming is on the agenda! Ensure that you clearly label all of your child’s belongings prior to them attending the camps. We cannot accept liability for any lost or damaged items, so please do not allow your child to bring or wear anything you wouldn’t want to get dirty, damaged or lost.
Sign-In/Out is at the big marquee to the front of the main house. There will be a directional sign placed close to the main house door if you are unfamiliar with our site.
Please ensure all possessions are named to enable us to match items up with their owners. Lost property is kept for a short period of time before being disposed of, so please do not delay in calling 01494 433531 if your child has lost anything.

We are able to accept children from 7-12 years old.
With the exception of popcorn or handmade bread during our Bushcraft sessions, we do not provide the children with any food. Please ensure that your child brings a nut-free packed lunch with them and plenty of water.
The camp is open from 8:30am – 5:30pm, drop-off is from 8:30 – 9am, and pick-up is 5 – 5:30pm.
It may be tempting to just turn up on the day without a booking, but if we are fully booked we urge you not to do this. We are not able to go above our instructor to child ratio for health and safety reasons and will not be able to accept your child on the day.
Yes. Our activity camps are Ofsted registered.
We are working on a way to allow customers to buy our souvenirs on the day. For now, the best way to buy is souvenirs is during the online booking process.
Woodrow High house will charge for cancellations on the following basis:
- For cancellations made five or more days before booked date/s – 50% refund per cancelled day, per child.
- For cancellations made less than five days before booked date/s – no refund available. (Please note that the days mentioned above are calendar days, not working days.) If cancellation is due to illness, a full refund may be given for cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice subject to the illness being medically certified (e.g. a GP’s or Doctor’s note).
