Transforming the lives of young Londoners

Our charity has been proudly strengthening and supporting youth work in the capital since 1887 so that young people have the opportunities and skills they need to succeed. London Youth works alongside community youth organisations to provide a constant lifeline and a vital safe space outside the family and formal education, where young people can develop confidence, resilience and skills.

London Youth has owned and operated Woodrow since 1945.

The power of youth work

We’re committed to making sure young people have somewhere to go, something to do, and someone to trust. We know that youth work transforms lives, and believe that every young person, regardless of their postcode, deserves to benefit from life-changing opportunities.

London Youth works with a network of almost 600 community youth organisations to provide tailored and inspiring opportunities to young Londoners.

Each year, more than 7,000 young people visit us

Each year more than 7,000 children and young people visit Woodrow for outdoor learning, and a further 2,000 for leisure activities from the local community: we aim to give each one of them the experience of a lifetime. By booking with us, you’re supporting a charity and helping us give more young people a chance to connect with nature and the outdoors, and enjoy physical activity and sport.
