Accommodation

We cater for a variety of group sizes, with 110 beds spread across 23 bedrooms, and extra space for campers! The house can be divided into “zones” with each group having their own bedroom area. Alternatively you may wish to book for exclusive house use.

There is a lift in the house and we have accessible bedrooms and bathrooms. There are three large lounges available. You will have a lounge space allocated to you for your stay.

You are more than welcome to visit for a site tour prior to your residential.

Food

Our aim for young people who visit our centre is to be as active and healthy as possible; we therefore take care in choosing the menu options at Woodrow. To help assist young people in selecting a balanced meal, fruit and salad are available with both lunch and dinner.

Specific Dietary needs

Our small friendly kitchen team are experienced in catering for many different dietary needs. Whether members of your group have requirements relating to faith or for medical reasons, we make every possible effort to meet their needs.

Activities

All our activities are shown here. Sessions last for one and a half hours each this includes time to skills set with the children/young people at the start of the sessions and reflect on these at the end.

Sporting options are also available with our 3G AstroTurf pitch, swimming pool and sports hall.

Health and Safety

The safety of our visitors is a priority for the team at Woodrow High House. Our Centre is regularly inspected as part of our internal health and safety audit programme.

All our activities are operated in accordance with strict operating standards that define the minimum requirements for staff qualifications, supervision arrangements, equipment, facilities and appropriate clothing. All activities have a defined session plan and all instructors are regularly observed to ensure they are complying with our safety standards and delivering a quality experience to our visitors.

We have risk assessed all our activities and these are updated and reviewed constantly to reflect any changes.

Woodrow High House has been awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge.

Woodrow High House has a Duty Instructor available 24 hours a day to deal with any issues that may arise during your stay and to help solve problems. There is also a Duty Manager on call 24/7.
