Three girls sit around the campfire with coats and hats on at Woodrow High House

Pitch your tent and roast marshmallows at our campsite.

Set within Woodrow High House’s stunning 26-acre grounds, it’s the perfect location for your Duke of Edinburgh expedition, or camping getaway.

Our camping area is safe and secure. We have outdoor toilets, drinking water, a washing up area, and a fire-pit, to give you that real traditional camping experience. One of our Operations team will always be on hand to help you to settle in and show you around.

Camping at Woodrow offers a cheaper alternative to our indoor accommodation for school and youth groups, hikers and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions alike – indeed the first ever Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition test set off from Woodrow High House in 1957.

Many campers combine their trip with some of our fully supervised outdoor activities for the complete residential experience – with the added benefit of sleeping under canvas.

Camping at Woodrow High House is self-catered and campers need to bring all of their own equipment.
